Intreo, the Irish public employment service, will be hosting the annual Intreo Careers Fair in Dublin Castle on Monday 2nd March 2020 from 10am-4pm. This event is free to all those who attend.
Intreo Careers Fair is one of over 120 events being hosted by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection as part of the annual Jobs Week programme of events. The events highlight the scale of opportunity available within our growing economy and provide support to those actively seeking work or looking for a change.
The employers attending the Intreo Careers Fair are very diverse offering lots of opportunities to match potential employees with employers. These include Irish Steel, Decathlon, Accenture, LinkedIn, BlueBird Care, Irish Hotels Federation, An Garda Síochána and PayPal to name a few. Meeting these employers will give jobseekers the opportunity to speak directly with employers, leave their CV or complete an application form when they are there.
Education and training providers will also be there outlining the options available to jobseekers to consider retraining or developing career options including information about taking up an apprenticeship.
The event will also provide:
- 24 specialists (Human Resources) offering one-to-one job coaching to help jobseekers map their route to employment ;
- 8 Human Resource professionals carrying out a CV Sprint who will review CVs for jobseekers and give tips on how to improve them; and
- 8 different seminars giving expert advice in marketing oneself, winning at interviews, using a LinkedIn profile for jobseeking as well as personal testimonies from people who relaunched themselves into their dream job through a new job or becoming their own boss in self-employment.
To register for this free event visit Intreo Careers Fair 2020
The seminars will be livestreamed so that jobseekers who are unable to attend on the day can still hear from professionals and speakers who will give their top tips for success. Jobseekers should log on to the live stream at European Job Days.
Coinciding with the live event is an online Careers Fair. Online, you will find over 30 employers and 500 jobs available including for example work riders for stables, video game testers, engineers, hospitality and medical staff. More are being added each day. The online event supports chat tools as well as the opportunity to sign up for online job interviews. To join the online event, go to Careers in Ireland 2020
