January marks the start of the ISI’s 2020 ‘Back on Track’ information campaign with components across TV, radio, outdoor and social media. The campaign highlights how overwhelming problem debt can be and the sense of relief once a person asks for help.
The TV ad shows a woman becoming completely overwhelmed and distressed in her kitchen while her children continue to eat their breakfast oblivious that their mother is struggling in plain sight.
This theme is continued in its accompanying print ads which show a menacing wave of envelopes which represent the sense of dread that people in debt can experience with the constant barrage of bills to pay. The radio ads urge listeners to get help.
The renewed Back on Track campaign is hard hitting and the messaging was created around feedback and research that the ISI carried out with people experiencing unmanageable debt.
People who had availed of an ISI solution spoke of the immense sense of relief once they took the first step to address their debt problems.
The ISI recognises the challenges people are facing and that its solutions can help.
Michael McNaughton, Director of the ISI says:
With this campaign we want to encourage a conversation about debt and acknowledge the sense of helplessness that people tend to feel when they are struggling to make ends meet. We want them to realise that no matter how bad they think their situation is, they are not alone and there is help available.
