The Minister for Health, Simon Harris TD, established the National Review of Specialist Cardiac Services in late 2017 under the independent chairmanship of Professor Philip Nolan of Maynooth University. A Steering Group of key stakeholders, including patient representatives, met for the first time at the end of January 2018 and agreed a programme of work for the National Review.
This public consultation is an important element of the National Review and will be a key influence in regard to what is recommended as a blueprint for future services.
