Longford County Council has prepared the Draft Climate Action Plan 2024-2029 to create a low carbon and climate resilient county. This will be achieved by delivering and promoting best practice in climate action at a local level.
The plan is aligned to the government’s overall National Climate Objective, which seeks to achieve the transition to a climate resilient, biodiversity rich, environmentally sustainable and climate neutral economy by the end of 2050.
