The Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Mr. Roderic O’Gorman, T.D., today announced details of the Consultation on the State Report for the United Nations Universal Periodic Review (UPR).

Consultation on the State Report will take place in a number of ways:
The closing date for written submissions is 7 May 2021 at 5PM.
Registration for the online event is now open and places are limited to 100 people.
The consultation event will take place on a thematic basis with different topics under consideration. The event will comprise two breakout sessions. For both breakout sessions attendees will be asked to nominate their preference from a choice of two. The topics are as follows:
Consultation Session: 5 May (10am – 12pm) | |
Breakout I – attendees to choose session | Equality, Diversity and Disability OR Right to Public Services (Health / Housing / Education) |
Breakout II – attendees to choose session | Access to Justice OR Right to Work, and to just and favourable conditions of work |
The breakout discussions will be guided by an independent facilitator in groups of up to ten participants, to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to give their views.
Participants are asked to familiarise themselves with the contents of the 2016 UPR report and the Interim Report.
