Sorcha Ní Longphuirt

Sorcha Ní Longphuirt is a Senior Marine Advisor in the Marine Environment and Planning Section at the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment. Her primary responsibilities include the Marine Strategy Framework Directive and the OSPAR Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North-East Atlantic. Her team also supports Ireland's engagement in various UN Agreements and bodies including the International Seabed Authority, Convention on Biological Diversity (Marine), and the UN Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction Agreement (BBNJ), and lead national implementation of BBNJ.
