Minister O’Donovan announces €4.6 million in funding across three new Creative Ireland grant calls

The Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan, today announced three new Creative Ireland grant calls, with a combined value of €4.6 million, to support creativity, connection, and wellbeing across the island of Ireland. These calls include opportunities for pro-jects under the Shared Island strand of the Creative Ireland Programme, supported by the Shared Island Fund.

Funding is now available through the following grant calls:

  • Creative Health & Wellbeing in the Community - Local Authority Partnerships with Creative and Community Organisations
  • Creative Communities on a Shared Island - Local Authority Partnerships with Creative and Community Organisations
  • Creative Youth Nurture Fund

Applications are invited from creative practitioners, groups, organisations, and communities, for funding to support the development of innovative creative and cultural projects.

Speaking about the announcement Minister O’Donovan said:

"These new funding opportunities reflect our belief in the transformative impact of creativity on people’s lives. By supporting local authorities, youth organisations, and community partners, we are enabling creative opportunities that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of communities across the island of Ireland. I look forward to seeing the innovative and collaborative projects that will emerge from this significant funding."

Since 2023, the Creative Ireland Programme has invested €6 million across its five pillars, Creative Communities, Creative Youth, Creative Health and Wellbeing, Creative Climate Action, and Creative Industries, to support creativity and collaboration across the Island of Ireland.
