Climate Action Roadmap

Under the Public Sector Climate Action Mandate, applicable public bodies must publish annual Climate Action Roadmaps which outline the actions taken to reach targets and embed sustainable practices in the organisation. The public sector must lead by example in order to reduce Ireland’s greenhouse gas emissions by 51% by 2030 and to become carbon neutral no later than 2050.

The Department of Education’s Climate Action Roadmap 2025 outlines the measures being taken by our department to achieve these targets and to ensure we continue to make sustainable choices in everything we do.
