Appointment to the Health and Social Care Professionals Council (CORU) - 15 July 2021

Following a Public Appointments Service (PAS) campaign the Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly TD, has appointed the following as a member of the Health and Social Care Professionals Council with effect from 15 July 2021 to 20 March 2023:

Mr Michael Francis Redmond

Michael is a former CEO of St. Vincent’s Private Hospital (2002 – 2013) and Clontarf Hospital (1994 – 2002). He has an MBA in Health Services Management from University College Dublin and a Diploma in Industrial Relations from the College of Industrial Relations. He also worked as Director, Operations at the 600 bed King Abdullah Specialized Children's Hospital in Riyadh before returning to Ireland in 2019. He has extensive experience in Hospital Clinical and Non Clinical Service Management, Quality Management, Human Resources Management and Commissioning. He has recently been appointed as a Director of the North Leinster Citizens Information Service Board.
