Appointments to the Consultative Council on Hepatitis C

Following the nomination by the Irish Kidney Association, the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly T.D., has appointed the following member to the Consultive Council on Hepatitis C. This appointment is with effect from the 8th of March 2022, until 7th of March 2025.

Aoife Smith

Ms Aoife Smith is a fully accredited humanistic integrative psychotherapist, working in private practice since 2008. She was also a specialist care representative in the healthcare industry for twenty years, during this time gaining invaluable experience working in chronic illness in the form of diabetes, respiratory diseases, and pain management. She is the co-ordinator of counselling services at the Irish Kidney Association.

The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly T.D., has re-appointed the following members to the Consultative Council on Hepatitis C. These reappointments are with effect from the 8th of March 2022 until 7th of March 2025.

Josephine Mahony

Ms Josephine Mahony was a founding member of Positive Action and worked with the group until 2004. She is currently the Chairperson of Anti-D Women’s Group.

Christine Bruton

Ms Christine Bruton worked with Positive Action from 1994 and was an Executive Member of the group from 2009-2014. She is currently a representative for women suffering from Hepatitis C in the North-East.
