Reappointment to the Voluntary Health Insurance Board - 27 July 2023

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has reappointed Mr. Dean Holden as a member of the Voluntary Health Insurance Board with effect from 31 January 2023 until 20 January 2026.

Dean Holden has worked in a wide variety of senior finance, general management and Board roles at Bupa, the UK's largest health insurer and private healthcare organisation). He spent 15 years as a Divisional CEO/MD reporting to the Group CEO and as a member of the Global Executive Team. His most recent executive role, until end 2016, was CEO/MD of Bupa's largest Market Unit, Australia and New Zealand. He has over 25 years Board experience as both an executive and non-executive Director in the UK, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and India.
