How to prepare and submit your proposal
Submission Form
Please use below link to access the online submission form. Completing the form will require you to provide relevant details on your proposal. The form will also allow the inclusion of any supporting documentation, such as peer-reviewed papers.
Call for Submissions 2025 Form
NB: Before making a submission, please visit the NSAC Work Programme to check whether a similar or identical application has been submitted through a previous Call for Submissions. Unless significant new evidence has emerged, repeat applications are not required and will not have an impact on NSAC's prioritisation process.
For assistance with completing the submission form, please watch our video presentation, which provides a step-by-step guide on what is required.
Please contact NSAC Secretariat at NSAC_Secretariat@health.gov.ie if you have any further questions on the process.
Deadline
Please ensure to submit your proposal along with the required documents by 5pm, Friday 12 September 2025.
Proposals submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
NSAC Criteria
In considering proposals received, NSAC applies evidence-based criteria, including the international recognised World Health Organization’s (WHO) Wilson and Jungner Criteria for Screening (1968). These criteria are the bedrock of modern screening programme assessment. Learn more about these criteria in the below video presentation.
Next Steps
Once you submit your application, it will be acknowledged by the NSAC Secretariat and reviewed at the next NSAC meeting. Depending on the outcome of this review, it may proceed to further stages in the NSAC process. The various stages of the NSAC decision-making process are outlined in the below video.
