Guide to Rural Proofing

Rural proofing is an approach that helps ensure that the development of key government policies considers and takes account of rural perspectives and priorities. Following research, which considered international experience, and a pilot to apply rural proofing concepts to policy development, the Department of Rural and Community Development has developed a Guide to Rural Proofing for Policy Makers to help them to think about the rural context when developing policies

Below is a Report on Rural Proofing outlining the key research findings and pilot learnings, the Guide to Rural Proofing for Policy Makers and rural proofing case studies.
