In accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Management Act, 1997, the Department of Education and Skills has published its Statement of Strategy 2019 – 2021, which sets out the department’s mission, strategic objectives and priority actions for this 3 year period.
The strategy sets out the strategic actions to be achieved in response to the needs of learners, employers and society, at every level in the education and training system. in the context of significant national and international changed, evolving skill demands and changing demographics.

This Statement of Strategy sets out the high level goals and objectives for the Department of Education and Skills for the period 2019-2021.

Department of Education and Skills: Action Plan for Education 2019
The Action Plan for Education 2019 was published 07 March 2019 in line with the publication of the Department’s Statement of Strategy 2019-2021. The 2019 Plan outlines the actions and subactions to be delivered during the year by the Department, its agencies and others across government.
