Youth Diversion Projects now operational nationwide

Youth Diversion Projects now operational nationwide

YDPs are community-based multi-agency crime prevention initiatives. They divert young people who have become involved in crime or antisocial behaviour and support wider preventative work within the community and with families at risk.

The Community Safety Fund redirects proceeds of crime seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) and An Garda Siochana back into communities.

FSI marked the occasion today with a celebratory event at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham.

New nine-unit refuge to provide accommodation for approximately 36 families per year, opened in Dublin city.
