Expressions of interest are being sought from suitably qualified persons for consideration for appointment as a Member of Working Group to examine regulatory challenges and standards to provide policy solutions and innovative approaches to further the use of timber in construction provide input on for a period not exceeding 2 years.
These persons should be at an appropriately senior level and would ideally be individuals from representative bodies currently working or have suitable experience in the construction, housing, fire safety, design or built environment sectors.
The members of the Working Group will be appointed by the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine will also be contacting relevant Departments directly for inclusion in the group on Timber in Construction.
The group will bring together a range of industry expertise and relevant Government Departments and agencies, with an independent Chair. The Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine will provide the secretariat to the group and a Chair will be appointed once the group’s membership has been finalised.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 15:00, 28th July 2023.
