In line with national developments, for example REACH, this authority will continue to record PPS Number's where possible and maintain databases for future references. Subject to National Legislation, PPS Number could be used in future in conjunction with the Register of Electors.

Each department has measures to prevent unauthorised access to paper records stored in filing cabinets. Electronic systems are accessible by authorised users and are password protected. Laptops are encrypted. PPSN data is processed and accessible only for the stated purposes.
