Head of Communications (Assistant Principal Officer Level)
Location: Galway
The Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention is seeking applications from suitable candidates to fill a vacancy as Head of Communications. This is an important opportunity for a senior communications manager to take on a key humanitarian communications role and develop and deliver an ambitious communications strategy for the Office of the Director.
The Office of the Director of Authorised Intervention
The Office was established in Galway by the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. Its mission is to recover, identify and re-bury in a respectful and appropriate way, the children that were buried at the site of the former Mother and Baby Home in Tuam.
Based in Galway City, the Office of the Director is independent, however it has regular engagement with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, and with Government Ministers, local public representatives and community organisations.
