In line with the Ministers and Secretaries Act, the powers and duties delegated are exercisable and performable by the Minister of State in their own name but subject to the general superintendence and control of the Minister, and the Minister retains the power to exercise or perform the delegated functions and remains responsible to Dáil Éireann and as a member of the government for the exercise or performance of the statutory powers and duties delegated.
