Secondments - Primary Level
There are a number of secondment vacancies at primary level in the European Schools commencing from 01 September 2026.
If you wish to apply for a secondment position (primary level) in the European Schools, you must apply online no later than 5 p.m. on 09 February 2026.

Secondments - Secondary Level
There are a number of secondment vacancies at secondary level in the European Schools commencing from 01 September 2026.
If you wish to apply for a secondment position (secondary level) in the European Schools, you must apply online no later than 5 p.m. on 09 February 2026.

Salary, allowances, pension and secondment term:
Teachers seconded to the European Schools continue to receive a salary from the Department of Education and Youth, that is pensionable under the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. This salary is supplemented by a European allowance provided by the European Schools’ system. Details of remuneration and allowances for teachers are available on the European Schools’ website www.eursc.eu . Each seconded teacher position in the European Schools is a secondment for a maximum term of nine years.
