The Accommodation Recognition Payment (ARP) scheme has been extended to 31 March 2027.
It is intended that the monthly contribution rate for the scheme will be reduced from €600 to €400 from October 2026, returning it to the original rate set when the scheme was launched in 2022. This tapering of the rate will enable an orderly and gradual winding down of the scheme with due regard to all those involved.
Further steps will be considered in due course to ensure an orderly exit from the scheme.
