Open Call - Fostering Agroecology at Farm and Landscape Levels
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) in Partnership with the Agriculture and Food Development Authority (Teagasc) invites eligible Irish Research Performing Organisations (RPOs) to submit joint research proposals under the 1st Open Call of the European Partnership on Accelerating Farming Systems Transition: Agroecology Living Labs and Research Infrastructure (AELLRI) - “Fostering agroecology at farm and landscape levels”
Irish financial support for the Open Call is being provided through the DAFM Research Programme and the Teagasc Walsh Scholarships Programme . Total combined DAFM/Teagasc funding for the Call is €2,372,000. Where funding from both DAFM and Teagasc is sought the total combined maximum funding per project shall not exceed €624,000 - €500,000 (DAFM) €124,000 (Teagasc).
Proposals must be written in English and meet all formal criteria in accordance to the procedure and must be submitted via the online submission platform. Incomplete proposals will be rejected.
• Pre-proposals must be submitted by 25 April 2024 2 pm CEST via the online submission platform
• Full proposals must be submitted by 19 September 2024 2 pm CEST via the submission platform
NOTE: The submission of a pre-proposal is compulsory. Applicants cannot submit a full proposal at a later stage.
Applicants seeking grant-aid from DAFM/Teagasc can apply for funding under either of the scientific themes which include:
1. Enhancing agroecology at farm level
2. Implementing agroecology at the landscape level
Submission of proposals will be carried out using an online submission platform, where applicants will find all information necessary for the preparation and submission of proposals. The submission platform is available at https://agroecology.ptj.de/
Irish applicants must read the ‘Guidelines for Irish Applicants’ in conjunction with the Agroecology Call Documentation, including the requirements set out in the National Annex for Ireland.
