The events held for Logistics and Supply Chain Skills Week 2024 fell within the themes of Digital – Diverse – Green.

A number of in person events were held during the week to highlight the educational and career opportunities available within the Logistics and Supply Chain Sector.
- A very successful launch event held at IBEC in Dublin on Monday 26 Feb. The event for businesses and employers highlighted the role that diversity and inclusion can play in expanding the skills and talent pipeline, essential in a world of shifting workforce demographics, global conflicts and the lingering effects of the pandemic and Brexit.
- The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport held a Mobility and Supply Chain Summit on Tuesday for industry professionals hearing from expert panellists and leaders in the sector on challenges and opportunities in the transport, logistics and supply chain industry.
- Wednesday saw the National Maritime College of Ireland in Ringaskiddy Cork host industry speakers, guests, and students for discussions on diversification, sustainability, and technological advances in the Supply Chain sector.
- Thursday saw an industry event hosted by the Mid-West Regional Skills Forum at the Digital Manufacturing Centre in Limerick on Supply Chain Transformation in a Digital World.
- On Friday, Ireland’s very first LogisTYcs Expo took place. Organised by the Department of Transport, this key event of the week was designed specifically for Transition Year (TY) students. More details are available on gov - LogisTYcs (www.gov.ie)
- On Saturday 02 March there were 2 conference and networking events for third level students in logistics and supply chain, one in NMCI, Cork and one in SETU, Carlow.
- During the week, the Department of Social Protection has held 3 very successful careers fairs in Wexford, Ballymun and Maynooth – providing an opportunity for hundreds of jobseekers to meet directly with employers who are actively recruiting at the moment.
