Voluntary Search and Rescue Leave for Teachers

Special leave, with pay, may be granted to a teacher who is a member of a voluntary search and rescue organisation if they are called out on a search and rescue operation.
In order to use the leave, the teacher must be a member of one of the following voluntary search and rescue organisations:

The Teacher must complete the Application Form at Appendix A of Circular 0025/2023 and submit to their employer as soon as possible, but no later than one week after the teacher’s return to work.
