If you are a beneficiary of Temporary Protection under the Temporary Protection Directive and are living in an Accommodation Centre designated by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, you are entitled to receive the Beneficiary of Temporary Protection Weekly Payment.
The weekly payment is payable to all beneficiaries of Temporary Protection who live in an Accommodation Centre designated by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth.
You will require a Personal Public Service (PPS) Number to access supports from the Department of Social Protection.
The rate of the allowance is €38.80 per week for an adult and €29.80 per week for a child.
To apply for this payment, you must complete the Beneficiary of Temporary Protection Weekly Payment application form (BOTP1). The form will be provided at Citywest Convention Centre on arrival.
When completed, you give your form to an officer of the Department of Social Protection. Department of Social Protection officers will be in attendance at your Accommodation Centre each week and information on dates and times of attendance will be available at your Accommodation Centre.
The Temporary Protection Directive allows you to work while you are in Ireland.
Department of Social Protection officers will be in attendance at your designated Accommodation Centre each week and will help you access employment opportunities. You can also check out employment opportunities at JobsIreland.ie
In some cases, you may be entitled to Child Benefit and/or an Additional Needs Payment . You will be provided with forms for these payments at Citywest Convention Centre upon arrival. When completed, you give the forms to a Department of Social Protection officer in attendance at your Accommodation Centre
